Chippendale Art Precinct - Street Style Art Walk..
Art and artist style is quite literally exploding in Chippendale within what can only correctly be called the Chippendale Art Precinct. A week or so ago I headed out to see a couple of shows and had stummbled across an opening that was not on my list, before I had even begun.. That first gallery was the NG pop-up gallery space at Frasers on Broadway; then it was onto Abercrombie Street for an opening at MOP gallery, around the corner to (or I could have crossed the back lane through their back doors to) Kaleidoscope; then on to MCLEMOI Gallery for David Rankin's Opening Night and book signing; The New York Years... And really that is just the tip of the iceberg, not bad for one evening out. Of course there is also the mega gallery, White Rabbit (hint; there is an opening next Friday the 30th), and plenty more independents like The Commercial; and you can find lots more Chippendale Creatives here. Check them out, there's lots to see and experience; Chippendale is absolutely on-fire right now!
