As you no doubt can gather from all this; this was certainly an OVER 18 Yo! event and if you are under 18 and reading this - please ask your parents permission to continue - because unless you have illegal ID this is what you have been missing out on. I had a great time snapping away at the people and the colour red which is the colour of 'Stolichnaya' which is a real Russian Vodka even if Russia is no longer Red so to speak.. If in the pictures you manage to see a red paper cup this cup has existed in one of three possible states and is (in the picture); or has-been or, is/was-about-to-become a Stoli Cocktail and as you can tell from the pictures below there was a LOT of Stoli Cocktailing going down on the night.
Sadly this is not a sponsored post, though if Stoli would like to send me a couple of cases of Stolichnaya Vodka I will gladly accept delivery. And by way of 'creative inspiration', which as far as I can tell is what ORGNL.TV is all about I have decided to share here on Street Fashion Sydney - for the first time ever - my recipe for Vodka Pancakes which I 'invented' in Moscow circa 1994... not long after the Iron Curtain came down and Vodka was super affordable at like $3 AUD a bottle from the little kiosks that were everywhere. Sorry no picture of the Vodka pancake making so you will have to do with this exotic beast from outside the Kremlin walls..
Flaming Stoli Vodka Pancakes..
All you need is some flour, buttermilk or milk with some yoghurt stirred in, a couple of egg whites, sugar butter and Vodka!Put one or two cups of flour in a mixing bowl, beat in enough buttermilk to make a cream like smoothness, a little sugar. Beat the two egg whites into stiff peaks and fold gently into the mix. Spoon mix into hot fry-pan, butter for each pancake; they should rise with the egg whites, flip when they bubble.. place on a warm plate till the mix is done.
Add a few tablespoons of sugar to the pan with some butter and a tablespoon of water and mix till dissolved, add few shots of Stoli! Vodka and stir in - place the pancakes back in the pan and baste in the vodka syrup; apply match to mixture KAPOW - Flambé Vodka pancakes - make sure you keep one for yourself or you will miss out!
