Amelia Arsenic - Boy London & Furr Hair.. at the QVB.
Should I really be surprised when my eye is caught by some unusual beauty and street style, that the identity behind the look is a designer them-self? Probably not; but I was surprised that the first personage of style was toting a re-issue Boy London top and has her hair done (when in Sydney "John is the only one who really gets the colour right") John or is it Jon at Furr in Newtown both big in the 80s and still going strong! Amelia Arsenic teamed Black Milk leggings with her boots and the aforementioned. What a great look, thanks Amelia and all the best with your designs.

Men's Dressing & Personal Style - Vintage Inspired..
It's always great to see truly unique style and when I spotted this gentleman walking down York Street a couple of days ago I had two thoughts almost simultaneously. Firstly I thought OMG that could be James! And secondly of course; I love that style!!! Or was it all visa versa - doesn't matter. The hair, the pants the umbrella even the stride reminded me of my great friend James who has always been a very stylish dresser and whom I would often see promenading along George Street Sydney.. and who passed on to me a quote that I have never forgotten, "accessories make the Man." So true. Anyway I finally caught up to my new friend and grabbed a few hurried frames in the drizzle; love the large black umbrella, leather satchel and the round heavy spectacle frames. And I love the baggy grey flannels and the red button on the back pocket!
And because I try to keep a reasonably tidy archive of my work I was able to dig out some frames from a shoot I did with James at his painting studio in Leichhardt, back-in-the-day. Great vest and I love that Stetson hat James, and rest assured that there is at least one man of Sydney continuing in the art of distinctive and personal men's fashion style!

Nude Nails on the Train & other style shots from Autumn Nights..
There are always pictures that I take that for one reason or another didn't quite make it into a blog post even though I wish they had. And I do think these pictures deserve a run on Street Fashion Sydney; even if they did not quite fit with the stories on or about the time they were taken. So here they are, from painting your nails on the train, and who doesn't.. to Korean guys with their grocery shopping at Town Hall Woolies to a couple of 'No Publicity' type shots, some blurry shoes and a Camo jacket over a very nice black frock. All night shots too which is rather nice!

Yoshimi - Black and Burnt Citrus Colours - York St Sunday
There I was; QVB Sunday afternoon sipping a coffee at JET with my lovely hair & make-up artist Kaori. When this vision in burnt orange/yellow and black patterned jeans, sky high platform boots - black tee and retro sunnies came wandering into my view. Well what's a Street Fashion Photographer to do! I waved, I asked, I grabbed the Fuji X-pro1 from under the table.. I know I know.. and managed a few quick frames of the vision named Yoshimi. Thank you very much, love this outfit - I think I'm off to a great start to the 2013 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week already!
