OMG - It's Thursday Already! (Friday Edition) Art + Style.

And that was only yesterday; how could I be at a gallery launch on Saturday only to find it's Thursday already?!!  I Saw - the best ever combination of a mane of hair and long hair coat I think I will ever see!

I Saw - Jenny Watson taking about her painting at Roslyn Oxley 9 last night. (On NOW) And I took a proper portrait too; but you will have to wait for that one. And I saw all these stylish people out and about too!

And I got to catch up with my friend the artist Mark Hislop who is part of the group show at the 'new' Wagner Contemporary (On NOW)!

Night of the Jumper 'N' Jacket @ Art Space Woolloomooloo..

A huge show of local and international art is always going to deliver a huge crowd. It's my first trip back to the Gunnery in Woolloomooloo in its new incarnation as Art Space; and it did not disappoint as the style flowed as freely the wine and beer, so much so I need to get back there and check out the show. What I saw I loved and I didn't see anyone kick any of those ticking metronomes - "Object to be destroyed" on steroids! At least they are the wooden German ones with the nice tone. Jumpers were hot and I wish that knitwear in the second shot down had the face woven in, alas it is just a shadow. Plenty of colour, but I seem to be falling in love with black and white photography all over again, so here's a selection of both. thanks guys (guys and gals) you are awesome!

Black is Back - Street Fashion and Gallium Sky..

Nice to see some black on black and even better to see some black on black against the blocked colours of David Serisier's Gallium Sky installation at Liverpool Street Gallery. No that is not David immediately below but it quite possibly is one of his students from NAS. You can see David below between the 2nd and 3rd 'oval magenta' works with the short blond hair in-conversation. Great show and on until 04 September 2014 at Liverpool Street Gallery.
