Pinky Blue - Art Student Style at Art House

Of course I find it irresistible to photograph someone who coordinates so well with a work of art - even if it means I end up with a personal conflict of interest if I photograph the artist too! And I am please to say I did indeed manage a portrait of the artist who's artwork you see here, James Ettelson at the opening of his show Everything Is at Art House gallery in Sydney. It's showing now and it's beautiful. How will I resolve this conflict? Spring Fashion Ambushed by Street Fashion Sydney PS. the Art Too..

It's Friday night in Sydney, it's spring and there is an art show at Ambush Gallery 'Capiche'. Of course you will be going out after, so it's time to shine to check out the art and social with friends, hell there's even a DJ - not in my day - this is it. Art Student Style - Jackets and a Scarf at NAS.

Getting a bit cooler in the evenings now, these two spotted at an art show at NAS in Darlinghurst, that right Art Student Style strikes again, gotta love it!

His style, vintage leather jacket with music and protest pins, black jeans &nail polish, necklace & earings, brothel creeper shoes.

Outerwear jacket and brown pants tucked into high brown boots, two shoulder bags and a tartan scarf and bracelet.

Pattern Crush 'n' Crushed - Street Fashion Sydney by Night.

What can I say; if you got it CRUSH IT with tribal geometry and abstracted animal print with a Pom Pom scarf to go and asymmetric ear-ring wearing. Winter I see you and you ARE defeated! All happily done in a nice monochromatic manner; I wonder who her lecturers are?  Spotted at the opening of LANDSEASKY at NAS, the National Art School Sydney, the last independent art school..

Back to Paper at Studio W (Double You..)

Whoever wrote the lame campaign for converse 'Shoes are Boring' has NEVER been to an art opening heavily populated with NAS students where the shoes are never boring and the clothes are always well styled; but then they have some experience at putting together Art & Fashion, so no surprises there.. Gather together a group show of past and present NAS students - and well you can just imagine how its going to go off! But just in case you are having trouble imagining, never fear Street Fashion Sydney is here with a lovely editorial on the opening night - we have everything, jackets and bags, art and artists, Shoes, shoes shoes, more shoes and more home grown style than you can poke a 2B pencil at! And talk about resilient no Heads Will Role art scandal was going to put the brakes on this celebration of art on paper. And a lot of affordable good art too; but you better be quick the red dots were popping up all over the shop. Now that's what all artist need, some healthy sales to make all the effort worth while.
