Pinky Blue - Art Student Style at Art House

Of course I find it irresistible to photograph someone who coordinates so well with a work of art - even if it means I end up with a personal conflict of interest if I photograph the artist too! And I am please to say I did indeed manage a portrait of the artist who's artwork you see here, James Ettelson at the opening of his show Everything Is at Art House gallery in Sydney. It's showing now and it's beautiful. How will I resolve this conflict? Easy - by asking you to check out Andrew's portrait over on my Street Fashion Sydney Facebook page, along with some other shots from the show; and.. while there don't for get to subscribe to my page! SFS - Pague Edition - Colour Coordinated, Czech Two Three.

Well to be fair I am not really sure this wonderfully colour coordinated young woman is Czech. But lets face it, rhyming off the the old mic/sound check is a fun pun and too good not to use (or let us know your thoughts in the comment section below). Photographed in the Old Town Square - Staroměstské náměstí just adjacent to the oldest working, fancy town hall astronomical clock in the world (maybe the universe - if no one else is out there..) And I reckon nobody says; "meet you near the town hall clock" like they do, probably nearly everywhere.. because most of the time it's the most most, really really crowded part of the square and you will never find anyone there, if you are not with them in close proximity already. Great place to hang out though; to beat the crowds try visiting early!

SFS - Prague Edition - Menswear, Blue Suit, Modrý Komplet.

Well that is probably a terrible Google translation for men's blue suit. But it's my very first direct approach shot, "Ahoy, can I take your photo for Street Fashion Sydney" (I point at camera). Understanding and confusion and a yes "Ano." Three frames and we are done. Love that blues suit but of course it was the orange sunglasses and the retro shoulder bag that really caught my eye. Genuine Czech men's style coming right at you from Malá Strana or Little Quarter which seems a great spot for fashion spotting.. Fingers crossed for more great Prague style. I wonder if that was his bike parked around the corner too.

Double Denim, Chambray you'll understand?

At Street Fashion Sydney it is all about personal style. This is personal style in spades; confidently coordinated colours and patterns. We started talking at Art Wear on Queen, then I  grabbed this picture, admittedly not the best possible setting on Queen Street Woollahra, but this was an outfit I did not want to miss. And as I said in the title, double denim? Someday you will understand, Chambray all the way!

Twins in Pink & Blue - Central to Redfern with Cityrail..

Ok sometimes I get my camera out and sometimes I don't and sometimes I just have to! I asked these two lovely young ladies who as chance would have it jumped into the same train carriage as me if I could take their picture; even though I had no idea what they were saying to each other because they are French! Love the pink and blue, the cut-off denim shorts and the bows in their hair, super sweet. And they have taken to that popular footwear known in Old Skool speak as thongs. Well its been pretty hot again so why not. Thanks so much for letting me grab two lovely shots.
