SFS - Prague Edition - Dressing for the Grand Tour.

What can I say, this outfit really makes me think of the golden days of the Grand European Tour where you went everywhere and took it all in as part of your coming of age. And Prague would have to have been and still is one of the great and essential destinations. Perfect layering for the rather unpredictable spring weather. Love it! Seen heading for the stairs to Prague Castle.

SFS - Pague Edition - Colour Coordinated, Czech Two Three.

Well to be fair I am not really sure this wonderfully colour coordinated young woman is Czech. But lets face it, rhyming off the the old mic/sound check is a fun pun and too good not to use (or let us know your thoughts in the comment section below). Photographed in the Old Town Square - Staroměstské náměstí just adjacent to the oldest working, fancy town hall astronomical clock in the world (maybe the universe - if no one else is out there..) And I reckon nobody says; "meet you near the town hall clock" like they do, probably nearly everywhere.. because most of the time it's the most most, really really crowded part of the square and you will never find anyone there, if you are not with them in close proximity already. Great place to hang out though; to beat the crowds try visiting early!

SFS - Prague Edition - An American in Prague.

I love menswear and what better town to wear menswear than Prague! Seen near the St. Nicholas Church in the "Little Quarter" having just attended a grandchild's confirmation service. Love the trench, the touch of Scottish family tradition with the tie and that great boater hat. Just perfect for a Prague Spring.

SFS - Prague Edition - Labor Day - Beige on White.

What an amazingly beautiful spring day Prague gave us today. Of course, as Viv reminds me. "only Australia has a different labor day" so we were not really ready for the long weekend and how busy Prague would be becoming (though we are told, nothing on the high season). We only have a few days left here so I thought it was time we headed back up Petrin Hill to the Strahov Monastery, which is more-or-less where we saw this elegantly styled young woman. Some light layering and high key tones, perfect for the rather unpredictable European spring weather. Thank you Prague for a great stay. More Prague Street Fashion still to come.. Stay tuned.

SFS - Prague Edition - Photography Student Style, Belvedere Summer Palace.

Vivienne & I had just made it through the palace security check and I immediately saw two things, the beautiful colonnade of the Renaissance Belvedere Summer Palace & a young woman in the garden near the fountain with a 5x4 view camera photographing it. Now that's real photography! Though I didn't quite manage to grab a shot of her using the 5x4 Chloe was kind enough to let me grab a shot of her as she was rushing back to college with her assignment. Assignment, wow, photographing a summer place instead of the now demolished Queensland Collage of Art building, the old concrete bunker.. now would have been something. So here's Chloe & dare I say it, exhibiting exquisite photography student style, and it seems like only yesterday I was a photography student too.

SFS - Prague Edition - LEGENDA GR2 Tomáš Vaněk Art Opening.

Getting lost in Prague certainly has its benefits. A couple of days after arriving, Vivienne and I were happily lost and wandering the streets of the old town, starting to feel the cold a bit when we suddenly noticed this brightly lit, small art gallery right before us on a tinny back street behind a beautiful stone church wall. Well one of the things I most wanted to do in Prague that was also one I least expected would happen; to attend an art opening in the Czech capital to see and experience how the Czechs do it! The gallery, Galerie Havelka run by the lovely Jitka Grígerová Sochorová is a project space with weekly shows, we had just missed one opening but there was to be another the following Tuesday, we were in luck! So here we are at the opening night for Tomáš Vaněk's LEGENDA GR2; a very contemporary installation work which as you can see was very well attended and On NOW in PRAGUE.
